Angela Bladon

About Me: I am an Empowerment Practitioner: A Life & Relationship Coach, Community Organizer, Tantra Facilitator and mom of 3 children from Calgary, Alberta. I am passionate about supporting people in living fully and loving deeply from a place of pleasure, power, and ease. Building communities and holding space for connection, vulnerability, emotional healing and growth is something that is very important to me. My educational background is in Psychology and Philosophy, and I have over a decade of experience in Mental Health, Research, Social Work, and Crisis Counselling. I am a leader in the Calgary Tantra community, where I was originally mentored by its founder, Rovena Skye. I have attended and assisted in the planning, organization and facilitation of more than 150 workshops, retreats, and training courses on vulnerability, managing emotional triggers, fearless relating (with self, others, and the world), conscious relationships, consent & boundaries, compassionate communication (NVC), body de-armouring, ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, energy work, and sacred sexuality. I have had the honour of receiving training and mentoring from expert and master level Relationship Coaches, Sex Educators, Reiki Practitioners, and Tantra Teachers from all over the world.

Favorite Cuddle Party Rule: I love all of the rules, and apply all of them to my life, so it is very hard to pick just one! That said, when it comes to the Cuddle Party workshop – I would say that rule #1 is my favourite: “Clothing stays on the whole time”. This isn’t because I have anything against nudity, or sex! But – in a world where touch and sex are so commonly paired together, there is something so incredibly powerful about having a space where people can begin dissolving that deeply engrained association, and have an opportunity to get their needs for nurturing affectionate touch met without sex being involved in any way, shape or form. Affection and touch is a fundamental human need, and so many people are deprived of it being fully met because of the association between touch and sex – so being able to dissolve that association will offer so much more freedom in people’s ability to meet that need for touch. I absolutely love rule #1 for that reason.

What I got out of Cuddle Party personally: Cuddle Parties completely changed the way I viewed rejection, and offered me the space to heal some very old wounds around exclusion, rejection, and abandonment. The Cuddle Party workshop also helped me to find my voice, and taught me how to trust myself. I learned how to truly care for myself under any circumstance. The Cuddle Party environment offered me a place to experience substantial healing, as I began to view my emotions as not only acceptable – but helpful. And most importantly, I found my tribe. I found my community, and my people.

Who I am as a Cuddle Party Facilitator / What you'll find at my Cuddle Parties: I offer kind and loving support combined with the skills, tools, and insights that will create space for empowerment, growth, and transformation in your life. I have extensive knowledge and experience in alternative ways of living and loving, and I enjoy working with people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, relationship orientations, cultural backgrounds, experiences and abilities. My Cuddle Parties typically happen on the 2nd Saturday of each month at a beautiful community hall. There are usually around 20-40 people in attendance. I welcome people of all ages (18+), genders, sexual orientations, body shapes/sizes/abilities, cultural backgrounds, and relationship statuses! New people are encouraged to join, and we do get new people every month. ?
