Keeley Shoup

About Me: For as long as I can remember I’ve loved to cuddle. I believe consensual non-sexual touch is profoundly powerful and essential to a happy life. Oxytocin, the hormone produced when humans touch, can decrease stress, boost the immune system, and fight insomnia. Since becoming a certified Cuddle Party Facilitator I have dedicated part of my life to bringing touch to those who need it, through good communication and positively established boundaries. I invite all my participants to share anything with me in a completely judgement-free, confidential environment.

Favorite Cuddle Party Rule: My favorite rule seems to change weekly, but for the moment I will say that I really love the ability to change my mind. So often in my personal life, I feel as though I am obligated to commit to things I’ve said I will do or agreed to do, well beyond my desire or ability to actually do them and do them well. The most challenging and often the most profound form of self-care I can provide myself is giving myself permission to change my mind and respond to the present moment authentically.

What I got out of Cuddle Party personally: Cuddle Party is the single most impactful experience I’ve ever had. I translate the agreements into my daily life and it has made all the difference in my effort to navigate the world authentically and with compassion for myself as well as others.

Who I am as a Cuddle Party Facilitator / What you'll find at my Cuddle Parties: Since 2015 I've been supporting clients as a Cuddle Therapist and Boundaries and Consent Educator in both individual and group settings. In 2017 I co-founded CuddleXpo, the first ever convention for cuddle professionals. And in 2020 I became the Director of Development for Cuddlist.
