Cuddle Party, Inc Update!
Hello all you Cuddle Party Facilitators! We have an announcement!
We have a new Executive Director, Mary Sorensen. She has been on the Cuddle Party Board for two years, and has been our President for about a year and a half. She has been a Cuddle Party facilitator and doing various kinds of connection work since 2014.
She has been a true believer in our vision, and so very committed to seeing Cuddle Party grow, she’s an inspiration!
During the several transitions and challenges our organization has navigated over the past year Mary has been the cheerleader, organizer, get it done motivator for the Board, the volunteers and facilitators! Let’s welcome and congratulate her! Thank you Mary!
On the continuing education and facilitator support front, our Diversity, Inclusion and Community Care Team are hard at work to bring you some very exciting and empowering new chapters to augment our existing training, and our core training will also be getting updated and augmented to help our new facilitators meet the challenges of throwing a Cuddle Party in our current times!

1. Cuddleparty.com has a Resource page just for you! You can find past email newsletters, logo downloads, and a presentation of the Annual Report for 2024 and 2023. Keep coming back, resources continue to be added.

3. You can now post your events on the Cuddle Party web page no matter what platform you use! You can use Eventbrite, Meetup, Humantix or plain email for registration. Please Click on Facilitator login, and click on ‘Event Dashboard’ near the bottom.

5. We can talk directly. I have open office hours on Tuesday afternoons (except second Tuesdays, that is the Board meeting). Anyone can pop in to the cuddle party zoom room and chat with me at 1:00 Central time on Tuesdays: MeetCuddleParty.org.

6. We are actively seeking volunteers to serve on the Board. Have you wondered what it’s all about? What does the Board actually do? Well, you can talk to any Board member (https://cuddleparty.com/board-of-directors/) to get an invitation to sit in on a monthly Board meeting. We have four open seats on the CPI board waiting for you. You will attend and contribute for two Board meetings and then we can have a conversation about joining the Board if it feels right for you.
7. We need help in our training division!
We are seeking folks to help update and develop our curriculum and also to be a part of our training delivery team helping new facilitators grow.
We also will be inviting community members to some group discussions about changes we want to make so be sure to connect with Mary if you are interested in being on the invitation list for our discussion and review teams.
Employment opportunity! There is some budget available for this, so talk to Mary about the possibility of part time work with us.
8. Whew! That’s a lot! I will try not to save up so much at once for next time.
