Edie Weinstein

About Me: I am 'professionally polyamorous,' working numerous overlapping jobs as a social worker, therapist, journalist, author, editor, interfaith minister, speaker, teacher and PR person. I am all about connection from the heart. In addition to CP, I am the founder of Hugmobsters Armed With Love and have offered hugs in the U.S., Canada and Ireland.

Favorite Cuddle Party Rule: # 6 You are encouraged to change your mind. So often in my life, I have been hesitant to change agreements or re-negotiate. The Libra peacemaker hasn’t wanted to make waves. Now I consider my needs as well as others and if something isn’t working, I look at what it’s about and effect change if needed.

What I got out of Cuddle Party personally: When I walked into my first CP in 2005 in the apartment of the founders, I felt like I had come home to myself and my own willingness to be vulnerable and asking for what I want. I have been such a giver who has had difficulty receiving and would only ask for what I thought people would say yes to. I also knew I wanted to become a facilitator which I did in early 2006.

Who I am as a Cuddle Party Facilitator / What you'll find at my Cuddle Parties: As a CP facilitator, I bring all of who I am to the blankets. I am genuine, creative, willing to help people safely stretch their comfort zones. As a therapist, I offer a trauma informed safe space. I encourage integrity and personal sovereignty. I call CP a lab setting where participants can practice relationship enhancing skills that they could put to use in their daily lives.
